Polish regulator allocates new DAB+ licenses in Torun and Katowice

KKRIT, the Polish regulator, has announced the radio stations that will be granted DAB+ licenses in Torun and Katowice. As part of the second expansion phase, due to take place in coming weeks, DAB+ licenses will be granted in Bydgoszcz, Kielce, Krakow, Łowicz, Łódź, Opole, Radom and Warsaw.

Digital radio mandated in all new cars in Germany

German Parliament has approved a law requiring all new cars sold in Germany starting from 21 December 2020 to be equipped with digital terrestrial radio capabilities. The new law is in line with the EECC directive mandating digital radio in cars across the EU.
