39% of households in Switzerland have access to a digital radio. All radio and TV retailers sell a wide range of DAB+ receivers, offering a choice of over 500 models of digital radios in a wide variety of designs and price ranges from more than 80 brands.
Sales of DAB+ digital radios continued to rise in 2013, as 365,000 sets were purchased. Demand for DAB+ car radios was particularly strong. This took the number of digital radios in use in Switzerland to over 1.5 million at the end of 2013.
