DAB+ on the agenda at MBT conference in Budapest
01.05.2019 - HungaryWorldDAB president Patrick Hannon will be taking the stage as part of the “Terrestrial Challenges” session on Thursday May 23, where he will give an overview of the development and rollout of DAB+ digital radio across Europe, with case studies and lessons learned from various countries across Europe. This year’s MBT conference will also be marked by the first seminar organised by the WorldDAB Spectrum and Network Implementation Committee (SNIC), which will be held at 2pm on Wednesday May 22.

Pure launches DAB+ marketing promotion for Mother’s Day
26.04.2019 - AustraliaAudio brand Pure has joined forces with commercial radio to launch a Mother’s Day campaign offering a set of Urbanears wireless headphones free with every Pure DAB+ digital radio purchased.
Industry body Commercial Radio Australia will launch a national advertising campaign today to promote the offer, with ads running on radio stations in six markets including Hobart, where commercial digital radio services were switched on three weeks ago.

Austria prepares for national DAB+ ensemble launch in May
25.04.2019 - AustriaThe launch of Austria's new national DAB+ multiplex is set to take place on 28 May 2019. At least nine stations are expected to broadcast on the multiplex, which will also be audible in certain parts of southwestern Germany.

Italy welcomes new DAB+ multiplex in Umbria
18.04.2019 - ItalyLocal broadcasters have switched on a new DAB+ multiplexer in the Umbria region of Italy. Members of the Aeranti-Corallo association of local radio and TV broadcasters activated the new MUX, “Radiofonia locale digitale Umbria,” which transmits on the 10C block. This latest local digital radio MUX, which is located in Colle della Trinità, carries content from stations including Max Radio Classic; Radio Blu; Radio Galileo; Radio Studio Delta; and Simply Radio.
