Digital radio offers Samsung multi-million dollar deal

Speaking at the Tamworth Country Music Festival’s Country Music Radio Seminar this morning, Commercial Radio Australia CEO Joan Warner said that they were in negotiations with Samsung to have a digital radio chip installed in a new version of their flagship Galaxy phone.

Positive perspectives for digital radio in South Tiro
24.01.2014 - ItalyThe public radio and television agency for the autonomous Province of Bozen RAS has switched on 4 new DAB-transmitters and radiostations in South Tirol. In the main area Bozen 52 programs are now on air – in the south even more than 70. There are plans to develop 10 new sites during 2014.

WorldDMB Among Presenters at Salon de la Radio in Paris
24.01.2014 - France"Towards a successful launch of DAB in Europe" is the title of a seminar that will be held during the event. It's scheduled for Feb. 10, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Centre Etoile Saint-Honoré. This session will provide an opportunity to discuss the latest developments in digital radio in Europe. Among the speakers for the event will be Patrick Hannon, president of WorldDMB; Quétel Mathieu, vice president of SIRTI; and Jacqueline Bierhorst, responsible for the implementation of the DAB+ in the Netherlands.
