Currently there is only one operator of DAB/DAB+ multiplex, the company TELEKO, which uses the L-band. This currently covers 2,8 million inhabitants of the Czech Republic. The signal broadcasts in Prague and its surroundings, in Příbram, Brno and its region, and in the large part of the Moravia-Silesian region. 14 radio stations have already been broadcasted on the TELEKO multiplex.
TELEKO started regular digital radio broadcasting using T-DAB (L-Band) in the Czech Republic on the 1st April 2011.

RTI CZ, currently operates 52 radio transmitters in the FM band predominantly in Western Bohemia.In 2011 RTI cz obtained the license for Digital Radio DAB (L-Band) in the Pilsen region, Carlsbad region, South Bohemian region and in Prague city. They plan to start broadcasting in the second half of 2012 and beginning 2013.
Czech Radio is considering launching a new digital channel for children and teenagers in September 2012. This station will be available on DAB and online, broadcasting for a few hours until December and will likely extend its program until January 2013.
Band III frequencies are now free, and the Czech Telecommunications Office is currently looking at the future use of this band.

Another operator, RTI CZ, has announced without further details that it is considering digital radio broadcasting in the south-western part of the country during 2012. If it is launched, the total covered area could be slightly more than half of the whole country population by the end of year.
