Commercial Radio Australia release 2014 Digital Radio Report

The commercial radio industry continues to drive awareness of digital radio in the five cities with the launch of an extensive outdoor billboard and bus side campaign, plus a series of three new Father’s Day radio ads playing on 42 metropolitan radio stations.

The commercial radio industry in the country is continuing to drive awareness of digital radio in five cities with DAB+ with the launch of an extensive outdoor billboard and bus side campaign, plus a series of three new Father’s Day radio ads playing on 42 radio stations.
Banners promote “25 extra free to air stations and digital sound quality” to help add to the 2.8 million people, or 21.4% of people listening to DAB+ digital radio each week.

A colour display and smartphone app ensure the display of additional visual information. The WFR-27C with a black finish will be available in trade from late September.

Sumatronic launches compliant DAB repeater
26.08.2014 - SwitzerlandSumatronic has launched the first Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) repeater to comply with regulations set out by Swiss telecoms watchdog Bakom. The software engineering company is aiming the product chiefly at retailers with poor DAB radio reception because their premises have metal shutters, or are in a basement or large complex. The equipment includes a roof mast and reception antenna in the shop.
