Hossein Yassaie is CEO of Imagination Technologies, and he has been head of the graphics company for quite some time – since 1998, in fact. Yassaie also kicked off the firm's Pure division when he saw a gap in the digital radio market, and while the initial intention might not have been to shift products to consumers – the first radio was really meant as a demo platform for Pure's DAB chip – success quickly led to a range of DAB radios (like the Evoke), portable wireless speakers, iPhone docks and the like.

Recent research on DAB radio notes that 7 million Italians know what digital radio is and that there are already more than one million receivers active in the market. The auto market is responding with 200 models with DAB radio.

AgCom has published the plan of frequencies for digital radio in 40 new regions.

With 2.17 million listeners, the channel, which airs classic comedy, dramas and documentaries, has overtaken 6 Music and classical music station Radio 3.

Network operator Media Broadcast has presented further plans for the network expansion of DAB+ radio multiplexes in Germany which will expanded to 110 transmitters by the end of 2016.

Crucially, UK digital radio listeners are 19% more likely to notice adverts on the radio than the average UK adult.

20 years after the start of the dual broadcasting in Austria heralds Digital Radio, a new era of radio. On May 28, 2015, 14 programs begin broadcasting digitally in Greater Vienna. Thus the already tested international standard has now arrived in Austria.

Starting in June the Citycable customers will be the first in the country to be able to listen to digital radio DAB+ cable. A bouquet of 84 channels Radio Swiss and French will be available free for owners of supported hardware or adapter sold with Citycable.
