Radio, the broadcaster BR Heimat arrives in South Tyrol

The Bavarian radio station BR Heimat arrives in South Tyrol from today (June 15), thanks to RAS, lovers of popular music of the Germanic, and its many interpreters of South Tyrol, will receive the station's signal on the whole territory through DAB+ digital radio.

In June, sales of DAB+ digital radios in Switzerland passed the 2-million mark. To say thank-you, MCDT is teaming up with radio stations and specialist dealers to launch a nationwide competition. UK's Ofcom Brings Community Radio Up to a New Level

About 60 stations will begin broadcasting on digital radio for the first time using the 'small scale DAB' approach, which could provide a more affordable way for smaller stations to broadcast via digital radio. “If the trials are successful, UK listeners could benefit from hundreds more local and community radio stations on digital radio in the future,” said Ofcom.
