Ukraine will build 10-channel DAB multiplex for Kyiv

Dutch court confirms digital radio is the successor to FM

The Dutch court upheld the accuracy of the information campaign in the Netherlands, which identifies DAB+ digital radio as a successor to FM. The Dutch court has now made a clear statement: "Advertising is not misleading because the digitisation of radio air is taking place all over the world. DAB+ is practically the only successor to FM broadcasting.

The Dutch Advertising Regulatory Committee (RCC) has concluded that a promotion for DAB+ by Digital Radio NL in the Netherlands is not "fake advertising", retracting its previous decision to find the campaign misleading to consumers. "The digitization of airborne transmissions takes place all over the world. DAB + is the only practical successor of FM," the committee concluded.

Isle of Man minister puts forward DAB question

The BBC could be approached by the Isle of Man government to help radio stations in the island broadcast digital content via local DAB transmitters. Chief minister Howard Quayle said he could raise the issue of allowing other stations to use the DAB transmitter as part of wider negotiations over the TV licence fee and the corporation’s Isle of Man coverage.
