AGCOM and the Government accelerate the development of DAB+
08.02.2017 - ItalyThe Italian Government commits to a road map for DAB+ development, a key part of this will be a plan for coordinated frequency planning. The majority of band III has to be reserved for DAB+. AGCOM also renewed commitment to putting forward legislation that receivers should have FM and digital capability.

New marketing campaign for digital radio in Italy
07.02.2017 - ItalyThe tagline for the new campaign is " radio is magic, digital radio is the magic in your car" and will run throughout 2017. The new campaign is scheduled to go out on digital radio on national, commercial and local stations. It is hoped the campaign will reach 23 million listeners.

Listening remains stable and unchanged after DSO in Norway
07.02.2017 - NorwayPPM figures from Kantar TNS show that Norwegians are still listening to radio like they did before the FM switchover began in January. Year on year there is no change and 67.8 per cent of Norwegians listen to the radio on a daily basis.

End of NRK on FM in Trøndelag and Møre og Romsdal
06.02.2017 - NorwayNRK will disappear from the FM band in Trøndelag and Møre og Romsdal when the digital switchover takes place on 8 February. Øyvind Vasaasen, from NRK, says that three times as many people will be affected by FM extinction in this region, compared to Nordland which switched off on 11 January.
