The National Council announces a new tender for digital radio in Kiev

Digital radio numbers from Switzerland: Nearly 600,000 DAB+ radios sold
05.04.2018 - OFCOM Switzerland WorldDAB Member - SwitzerlandIn 2017, a total of 304,000 DAB + radios were sold in Switzerland. According to OFCOM, the number of vehicles equipped with DAB + radios as standard has increased significantly. It stood at 66 percent at the end of 2016 and climbed to 85 percent by the end of 2017. For the first time, the number of DAB + -capable vehicles also exceeds the million mark, writes OFCOM.

Study shows 9 out of 10 French people consider radio as an essential right

The study also found that only 23% of mobile listening took place on smartphones, but that this figure is expected to grow as awareness increases that radio listening is possible on smart devices.

Austria starts DAB+ regular operation
04.04.2018 - AustriaThe pilot operation of the new DAB+ standard was put into fixed service in Austria on Wednesday, as confirmed by the Digitalradio Österreich. The national expansion will then follow in further stages. Digitalradio Österreich chairman Wolfgang Struber: "Another important step in the development of radio is the interoperability of digital radio receivers (receiving DAB+ and FM programs)."

DAB+ officially launched in Austria
04.04.2018 - AustriaIn Austria the first regular broadcasts of DAB+ have been started. In the Vienna region, 12 radio stations can be received on channel 11C. The regional multiplex is operated by Radio Technical Center, which received a license from KommAustria at the beginning of the year.
