The launch of DAB+ in Lille is a critical step in the “nodes and arcs” strategy of the CSA and its radio working group Chairman, Nicolas Curien. Very simply, if radio is to remain relevant in the 21 century, it needs to innovate. DAB+ addresses the situation of limited FM spectrum by offering listeners new features and services.

For the first time from 27 June, regional private radio programs will be broadcast on DAB+ in Bremen.

Ukraine’s National Council of Television and Radio Broadcasting (NRADA) has announced that nine radio stations in Kiev are now broadcasting in the country’s first DAB+ tests, which cover the capital and its surrounding areas. Chairman Yuri Artamenko said that the council would like to create an association to promote digital radio in Ukraine.

The trial begins with the automatic search phase of the DAB+ radio stations, an aspect quickly resolved with the memorisation of all the stations available in the territory.

As DAB+ has now expanded to the Hauts-de-France, the Sony XDR-V20D, Pure Evoke H4 and Roberts Revival RD70 has been reviewed for potential new consumers.
