There is one DAB multiplex on air in The Netherlands, held by the National Public Broadcaster (NOS).  In Autumn 2008 two commercial multiplex licences will be awarded, and the new operators will be able to decide whether to broadcast in DAB or DAB+.  It is likely that DAB+ will be the preferred standard.

There is one DAB multiplex on air in The Netherlands and the National Public Broadcaster (NOS) is the only licence holder. The Dutch Government is preparing the issue of commercial DAB licences for two more multiplexes. An analogue switch off date has been proposed for 2015.
