Digital radio launched in France on June 20, 2014, joining the United Kingdom, Norway, Denmark and Switzerland, where the standard is well-established, according to WorldDMB. Germany launched DAB+ in 2011 with the Netherlands following in 2013.

Five radio stations will join Derbyshire's new local DAB digital radio multiplex when it launches shortly, according to a multiplex variation request published by Ofcom.

Bayerischer Rundfunk (Bavaria Radio) will launch a new DAB+ multiplex on the first of July from the 1686 meter high Laber in Oberammergau. The addition of Oberammergau on channel 11D will mean that Bavaria Radio will have 23 digital stations available throughout Bavaria. 93% of the highways are already covered, along with 89% of the population.

French retail giant Darty explains to consumers about the benefits of France going digital.

The station will broadcast throughout the Pride Glasgow festival, and the Commonwealth Games.
