With over thirty stations on offer and 3.2 million Australians listening via DAB+, SCA takes out #1 with Triple M Classic Rock. Buddha increased its listeners and moved into national top 5. With two other brands making the list including More 80’s & 90’s and Stardust.

Australia, the first country to officially launch DAB+, is celebrating new figures today showing 40% of Australians (in the five metro capital cities with DAB) have access to a digital radio, at home, work or in the car.

Australians are embracing digital radio, with new data by GfK showing four out of 10 Australians in the five metropolitan capital cities now have access to a digital radio at home, work or in the car.

“The research shows that 40% of Australians in the major capital cities now have access to a DAB digital radio, which reflects a strong adoption rate over the six years since the launch of the first DAB services in Australia,” said CRA CEO Joan Warner.

The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) welcomes today’s landmark decision by the ITU’s World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC-15) on the use of the UHF band.

Today, broadcasters welcomed the decision made during a session of the World Radiocommunication Conference in Geneva that there would be no change to the allocation in the 470-694 MHz band now or at the WRC-19 (in four years' time.)

The DAB+ receiver database has been updated to show the new DAB+ receivers available on the market. The database includes receivers suitable for cars, the home and hybrid devices.
