Key markets show a steady rise in the popularity of DAB radios in cars
03.11.2016 - - United KingdomKey markets in terms of digital radio, among which we can include Germany, Great Britain, Norway, Denmark, France, Italy, the Netherlands and Switzerland, have a steadily growing interest in this technology within the automotive industry. In the first half of this year it 1.7 million new cars were sold, which had the option of digital radio reception (DAB). For the full year 2015 this figure was 2.7 million.

In-car DAB radio increases across Europe
03.11.2016 - - United KingdomA new report, commissioned by WorldDAB and carried out by JATO Dynamics, shows that more than 1.7 million new cars sold in the first half of 2016 featured DAB (for the whole of 2015, 2.7 million cars were sold with DAB). Eight countries were surveyed as part of the study and all of them saw an increase in adoption rates compared to 2015, with 31 percent of all new cars now offering DAB as standard.

DAB radio transmitter launched in Aldershot
03.11.2016 - United KingdomThe small-scale DAB trial for Aldershot has added a second transmitter to its service to expand the coverage area.The service is provided by BFBS, which has been offering a number of radio stations from a transmitter site in Woking but now has added a transmitter based in Aldershot too. The Ofcom trials of these SSDAB services are due to run until summer of 2018.
