The WorldDAB World Assembly held in Paris is a chance for France. This is the sign that publishers and manufacturers around the world are ready to support the transformation of this media in France and to support the French pioneers of digital radio.

France wants to intensify the expansion of DAB +, the media council CSA announced at the WorldDAB conference in Paris. The ever-delayed start of the Muxe in Lille, Strasbourg and Lyon should start from next spring. First, the northern French Lille will be supplied.

Radio listeners will by necessity use over-the-air DAB thereafter. The broadcasters in South Tyrol have the same problem as Norwegian broadcasters — an aging FM network that would cost a lot of money to upgrade.

Until the end of the year, experiments with DAB+ can take place at local level. In many places in our country, digital ether radio has been experimented on a local level since last year.

In the Eindhoven region a new DAB+ trial has been started since this week under the name 'DAB + 4 Brainport'. The broadcasts on channel 8A in the Eindhoven region last until 1 January 2018.

Christmas FM is launching on DAB in two areas of the UK, following years of temporary seasonal broadcasts on FM in Ireland. The UK version goes on the two Muxco multiplexes – which cover Liverpool, Cheshire, North Wales, Surrey and south London – and will launch on 28th November.
