In the United Kingdom, the use of digital sources for radio has reached 50.9%, up from 47.2% a year ago, accounting for the majority of all listening for the first time, according to RAJAR Q1 2018 data.

A central "NissanConnect EV" seven-inch touchscreen takes care of most of the vehicles features, including DAB radio, smartphone connectivity and the all-important navigation.

Melbourne-based, Aqipa, has re-launched UK digital radio brand ‘Pure’ in Australia, following Powermove Distribution’s attempt several years prior. Aqipa Australia Sales and Marketing Director, Sohan Karunaratne, asserts they’re “confident” in Pure’s competencies, following the increased roll-out of DAB+ in Australia.

All the audio and communications equipment, including DAB Digital radio and Bluetooth connectivity, is accessed via the 7” multifunction colour touchscreen.

In the region around the French city of Lille, the first test broadcasts with DAB + have been broadcast since this week. The broadcasts will officially start on 19 June. This is part of the French government's digitisation plan to ensure all major urban regions and motorways have DAB+ coverage by 2020.

Continued growth from the 47.2% recorded in the first quarter of 2017 and the 24% of the first quarter of 2010, when the government's Digital Radio Action Plan, which spearheaded a program to advance digital radio, was launched.
