Google and radio industry partnership brings more live and local radio to Google Nest speakers and displays
14.09.2020 - AustraliaListeners can now find more Australian radio stations than ever on Google Nest devices, thanks to the new integration of RadioApp, the Australian radio industry’s official aggregator radio app, further expanding Australian radio’s accessibility across digital devices. Now, more than 350 Australian AM, FM and DAB+ digital radio stations, including all commercial radio, ABC and SBS stations, are available via voice command on Google Nest speakers and displays.

Spain to implement EECC regulation into national legislation

EWF test to take place on DAB+
09.09.2020 - GermanyThanks to DAB + digital radio, the Emergency Warning Functionality (EWF) can be used to send corresponding warnings directly to DAB + radio devices. EWF is a new form of barrier-free alerting within a few seconds, which the digital terrestrial broadcasting standard DAB + offers and, in exceptional cases, can switch on radios that are in standby. In addition to the voice announcement, multilingual text information is also transmitted with EWF via DAB+.

DAB+ continues to grow in Germany

The number of DAB+ receivers in German households has increased by 1.8 million (14 percent) compared to last year, while almost two thirds of Germans now have access to a digital radio in their household.
