New Commercial Radio Australia CEO Ford Ennals says all radio content must be ‘free and easy to access’

The new commercial radio industry’s boss Ford Ennals has warned that global tech companies must not interfere in making radio services content free and easy to access. Ennals said the tech platforms had “great influence and increasing power because they are in so many households and people rely on them”. “When people want to listen to their favourite radio podcasts or their favourite show it ought to be easy to access and it ought to be what they get,” he said.

Czech Radio expands DAB+ multiplex

Czech Radio, in cooperation with České Radiokomunikace, is embarking on a significant expansion of its DAB+ multiplex. The North Bohemian transmitter at Ještěd has increased its power from the original 1 kW to 5 kW, improving coverage in the Liberec and Central Bohemian regions.

13 new DAB+ stations in the Güstrow and Eisenhüttenstadt regions

With the start of the first nationwide multiplex, DAB+ listeners in the Güstrow and Eisenhüttenstadt regions can look forward to 13 new radio stations in the best digital quality.
