Manchester benefits from engineering work on local DAB muxes

Digital radio listeners in Manchester are being urged to retune their digital radios to ensure they continue to get a clean-feed following engineering works. The essential maintenance was carried out to boost and change the frequency of existing digital radio transmitters in the Manchester area and switching on two new transmitters, which will bring the area’s 11 local stations to 400,000 more listeners for the first time.

A year digital radio in Austria: DAB+ makes terrestrial radio fit for the future

"With the two transmitters on the DC Tower and in Liesing we now open up an area that extends far beyond the northern and eastern border and south to the exchange area. UK: digital radio heard by 57 percent of population

Rajar reports the total number of adults who claim to own a DAB radio, is up 14 percent year-on-year. According to the report, DAB leads in the total digital listening hours, with an estimated 310 million hours on a weekly basis. DAB also leads in the share of all digital radio listening, comprising 30.9 percent of the total 44.1 percent of listening done through a digital platform; DTV earned 5.4 percent, while 7.8 percent listened online or through an app.
