The manufacturer Pure has announced that the company will invest up to Christmas 2012 a million euros in the promotion of digital radio services in Germany. The bulk of the capital flows into a large campaign in the main broadcasters in Germany. Among the broadcast partners include Regiocast, The New Wave, relaxation Radio, Energy, and ERF Norform. The campaign will run on major radio and television and in print and online media.

With the new ATD8ZP family, Panasonic Industrial Devices Europe GmbH has developed the world's smallest* DAB/DAB+/DMB modules. The SMT-compatible components are intended for digital in-car radio reception using entertainment solutions (head units) or navigation devices. As well as original equipment, Panasonic also has its sights on retrofits (after market) for the up-and-coming DAB technology.

BBC Radio Kent, BBC Radio Lincolnshire, BBC Radio Merseyside and BBC Radio Nottingham have all stopped broadcasting regular programmes on medium wave, instead directing listeners to FM or DAB.
