More than 2.4 million Norwegians listened to Julekanalen P7 Klem in 2016, and after a lot of pressure from listeners, P4 's Christmas channel is finally back, and earlier than ever.

Polish company BCAST,has come up with a solution, DABCAST, in response to the needs of smaller broadcasters. DABCAST is an important step in further spreading the digital signal, not only in Poland, but also across Europe.

The Director of the State Media Authority of Saarland (LMS), Uwe Conradt, has said that the response to the expression of interest in DAB+ initiated on 1 September 2017 are a "clear indication of the attractiveness of the digital radio in Saarland".

Standard equipment includes an eight-inch touch sensitive infotainment screen which is supported by DAB radio (on the Exclusive and Excite models).

Heated seats now come as standard, as does a 5.9-inch multifunction display on the dashboard as well as an upgraded infotainment system, including DAB radio and a reverse parking camera.

Bayerische Rundfunk is commissioning new DAB+ transmitters in the Augsburg district of Welden. The Bavarian Broadcasting Company is expanding the Bavaria-wide DAB+ transmitter network to 47 transmitter locations. At the same time, the regional network of Upper Bavaria-Swabia will receive another transmitter location.

According to a new report from WorldDAB, by the end of the second quarter of 2017, almost 60 million DAB receivers had been sold, compared to 48 million the previous year.
