Lumie launches premium wake-up light with DAB

Government continues digital radio Investment
14.09.2017 - AustraliaThe Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has extended DAB+ Digital radio trial licences in Canberra and Darwin for 12 more months.
This is the second time the licence has been renewed, following its issue in 2010 and the first extension granted in 2011. The extra 12 months will buy extra field testing and continued coverage modelling to be used for DAB+ rollout in other regional areas.

NDR programmes in Göttingen now also on DAB+
14.09.2017 - GermanyRadio listeners in the Göttingen area are now getting their NDR programmes in even better quality. The new Göttingen DAB+ transmitter supplies the region between Northeim and Friedland in Lower Saxony. NDR's radio programs will also be received via DAB+ in Moringen, Hardegsen, Dransfeld, Rosdorf and Nörten-Hardenberg.

Norway’s FM sunsetting nears completion
13.09.2017 - Viaplay Group WorldDAB Member - Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) WorldDAB Member - NorwayThe last phase of Norway’s FM switch off is about to begin. On 15 September, P4 and Radio Norway will turn off their FM transmitters in Hordaland, Rogaland, Sogn og Fjordane, Vest-Agder and Aust-Agder. Then on 20 September, NRK's FM channels in Oslo, Akershus, Østfold and Vestfold will be shut down. P4 and Radio Norway will continue to broadcast on FM in this area until Dec. 8.

VRT moves from DAB to DAB+
13.09.2017 - BelgiumThe Flemish public broadcaster VRT will completely switch from DAB to DAB+ in November. The five radio stations Radio 1, Radio 2, Klara, MNM and Studio Brussels, which also broadcast on FM, will then switch from DAB to DAB+.
