Frontier Smart Technologies unveils world’s first integrated Smart Radio chip

Venice X, the first of these new solutions, will be launched at the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (April 13-16). By combining DAB/DAB+, internet and FM in a single device, Smart Radios provide end-users with a complete range of listening options – including a rapidly growing number of DAB/DAB+ services, Internet radio stations, online music services and podcasts from around the world. Smart Radios are the fastest growing category in the digital radio market, with sales volumes currently growing at 30 per cent per year.

Belarus government planning for DAB+

The Ministry of Communications and Information will develop a frequency plan for the deployment of DAB+, with three multiplexes each with approximately 18 stations. The companies Giprosvjaz, Tract and Tract Media are taking an active role in launching and testing DAB+ digital radio in Minsk.

French-speaking Belgium regulator receives 126 applications for DAB+ licences

The list of applicants has been published on the CSA website. The CSA will now assess the applications based on their feasibility and contribution to the diversity of the radio landscape and will publish its decision by no later than 16 July 2019.

Panasonic partners with Xperi to support DTS Connected Radio

Switchdigital welcomes applications from broadcasters for London’s largest DAB multiplex
