Radio is the leading audio platform consumed by Australians with 88 per cent of people having listened to an AM/FM or DAB+ station in an average week, up from 85 per cent AM/FM in 2017.

New findings by Edison Research reveal a rise in radio consumption across multiple platforms on DAB+, AM and FM, either via free to air broadcast or online in the last week.

Consumption of radio has risen in Australia on DAB+, AM and FM, according to new findings by Edison Research. Commercial Radio Australia CEO Joan Warner said: The results reveal 88% of people having listened to an AM/FM/DAB+ either via free to air broadcast or online in the last week. This is three times as many people than the second highest audio platform."

13 Dutch regional public broadcasters will receive 750,000 euros of funding to continue broadcasting on DAB+ for the next two years.

Dutch minister Arie Slob has confirmed that 750,000 euros will be made available to regional public broadcasters in the Netherlands to continue airing content on DAB+. The minister said that DAB+ broadcasts would require self-funding from January 2020.
