FM broadcasting may end in Switzerland by 2021

As digital listening is growing faster than anticipated, there is a possibility that FM may be switched off by 2021, which would be a change to the original plan of switch off in phases between 2020 and 2024. KRRiT to announce DAB+ multiplexes in up to 34 Polish cities

Representatives of Polish radio stations discussed the potential transition to broadcasting in DAB+ during a conference held on Monday to discuss the country's radio future, with 47 frequencies to be distributed to 34 cities. KRRiT chairman Witold Kołodziejski said that the organisation was considering DAB+ as the sole successor to FM in Poland, as analogue frequencies were now exhausted.
