Norkring improves DAB+ reception in Belgium

Transmitter operator Norkring has improved the reception of the two commercial DAB+ networks in northeastern Flanders, Belgium. A total of 21 radio stations can now be received on the two commercial DAB + networks.

DAB+ mandatory in all new receiversin Italy from 2020

Starting from the 1 January 2020, all new radio receivers released in Italy will have to include DAB+ digital radio as standard. This applies to domestic radios as well as in-car radios. The number of DAB+ receivers in Italian homes and cars is estimated at 4.3 million.

FM-Plus launches campaign to help finance switch to DAB+

DAB+ digital radio goes up the charts in Australia

The latest research from Commercial Radio Australia found that the number of DAB+ digital radio consumers across in the five metro capital cities is up from 3.62 million compared to 2017. Commercial Radio Australia CEO Joan Warner said the growth figures were pleasing and would open the way for further commercialisation.

Observa range provides DAB monitoring solution for Iranian transmitters

Fara Afrand, a transmitter manufacturer and system integrator for a DAB pilot project in Tehran, have chosen the Observa Multiplex Supervisor and Observa Field Monitor to measure audio signal and modulation quality. The Multiplex Supervisor provides the user with a web-interface to monitor EDI, ETI and RF inputs, while the Field Monitor is more suited for RF monitoring and mobile measurements (e.g. drive tests).
