More digital radio transmitters to be built in Norfolk and Suffolk
18.02.2015 - United KingdomThere will be new masts at six Norfolk sites: Daffy Green, Diss, Hinkling Stubb Road, Martham Collins Lane, North Walsham and Norwich Central.
The existing transmitter at Stoke Holy Cross will be modified.

Paneda wins another contract for 22 tunnels in Norway
18.02.2015 - Paneda WorldDAB Member - NorwayPaneda Dab AS, a member of the Paneda group, has won another prestigious order for 22 tunnels in the Oslo region in Norway. The new order includes DAB and FM transmission systems, emergency-break-in systems including amplifiers and fibre optic systems.

RTBF and RTL request state aid for DAB+ digital radio
17.02.2015 - BelgiumWhen asked about about digital radio by Belgian newspaper Le Soir, Francis Goffin, Director of RTBF responded "People are not yet aware of the revolution that is brewing, but in 10 years there will be no more FM frequencies (...) private and public radio stations are in agreement to pay migration costs, but public funds are also needed. Specifically, we ask €12 million over 10 years."

Salon de la Radio connects the industry
17.02.2015 - FranceSalon de la Radio 2015, held Feb. 8–10 in Paris at the Centre de conférences et de réceptions Étoile Saint-Honoré, attracted some 4,468 visitors.
Addressing the audience, the chairman of the Conseil supérieur de l’audiovisuel (CSA), Olivier Schrameck gave an upbeat talk on the subject of the future of digital radio in the country. He referred to the recent CSA report, which encourages the deployment of digital in France.

Panjab Radio re-joins RAJAR for London DAB
17.02.2015 - United KingdomAsian radio group Panjab Radio is re-joining RAJAR to measure its audience on DAB in London.
Panjab Radio is also one of five applicants for the re-advertised London-wide 963/972 AM licence, and is part of the line-up on Listen2Digital’s bid for a national DAB licence.
