Market power stifling digital radio

To Austrian broadcasters, it may sound revolutionary to propose that the public service broadcaster should, through attractive and innovative programming, be the front runner in driving digital radio. AgCom publishes DAB+ expansion plans
28.07.2015 - ItalyItalian regulator AGCOM release plans on the expansion of DAB+ across Italy with applications for 3 further coverage areas; Eastern Tuscany: Firenze, Arezzo, Pistoia, Prato and Siena provinces, L’Aquila province and Eastern Sardinia: Cagliari, Nuoro, Ogliastra, Carbonia-Iglesias provinces.

RAI to add programmes to it's DAB+ network
28.07.2015 - ItalyItalian public broadcaster RAI is adding three new programs to its DAB+ lineup. The complete DAB+ lineup will now feature 10 stations; existing programs are Radio 1, Radio 2, Radio 3, the news station GPRD, and the traffic service Isoradio.
Italy announces DAB+ licencing plan covering all of Italy

Remaining capacity for DAB+ divided
28.07.2015 - NetherlandsThe distribution of the so-called residual capacity at regional plots for DAB+, will be launched on August 14. Yesterday the scheme was announced. The remaining capacity applies to more than 30 channels at various regional DAB+ lots. There are more than 30 licenses available.

Government distributes over 30 free DAB+ channels
27.07.2015 - NetherlandsThe Ministry of Economic Affairs have issued licences for 34 regional DAB+ channels across the South, North and South West of the Netherlands. The distribution will start from August 10. Licences are for a period of two years.
