Njoy Radio Cornwall added to the Cornish local DAB multiplex.
04.11.2015 - United KingdomOfcom has agreed to a request to add Njoy Radio Cornwall to the Cornish local DAB multiplex.
The station is a music-led service aimed primarily at people aged 30-55 living in Cornwall. According to Ofcom, speech content will be of "relevance to the area and demographic."
Frontier CEO recognised by Digital Radio industry as DAB chip sales pass 30 million milestone
04.11.2015 - - United KingdomAnthony Sethill, CEO of Frontier Silicon, yesterday received WorldDAB’s award for outstanding services to digital radio.
The award is in recognition of Anthony’s contribution to the development of DAB technologies and markets over the last 15 years
During this period, Frontier has invested over $50m on the development of its “Chorus” family of digital radio chips – the 4th of which went into mass production earlier this year. These chips have sold over 30 million units - making them, by some distance, the best-selling DAB solutions of all time.

NLM project for the further development of DAB+
04.11.2015 - GermanyLaunched on November 1, the aim of the DAB+ pilot of the Lower Saxony State Media Authority (NLM) was to explore the innovative technologies that can be used where FM broadcasts such as news and advertising. The aim is to extend the possibilities for local and regional radio stations in digital radio and to facilitate their transition to DAB+.

03.11.2015 - - European Broadcasting Union (EBU) WorldDAB MemberThe EBU’s Head of Radio Graham Dixon has delivered a keynote speech at the WorldDAB General Assembly.
In the speech Graham Dixon told delegates that: “Audiences are more demanding, encouraged by online usage and provision. To meet this need, and others we have not yet considered, the future is digital.”
