The Flanders region in Belgium is looking to do away with FM radio within the next five years, according to a report from De Standaard. Flemish Media Minister Sven Gatz has unveiled a plan that will see the region switch to DAB+ digital radio, which he anticipates will provide more room in the spectrum for additional channels.

The all-new fourth generation Sportage includes Bluetooth connectivity, DAB radio and satellite navigation. This coupled with its dynamic handling and distinctive design, made this family crossover a clear choice for the top spot.

A new timetable for the deployment of digital radio has been agreed in Denmark, with a full transition to DAB+ by October 2017, accompanied by a government funded national information campaign.

The Walloon government will release 5.4 million euros to facilitate the implementation of Digital Terrestrial Radio in Belgium. According to the website of RTBF, a decision was taken by the Wallonia-Brussels Federation and will be primarily funded by the Walloon Region.

National DAB station Share Radio has reported a threefold increase in the number of digital downloads generated by the station from April 2015 to April 2016.

Welsh language broadcaster BBC Radio Cymru is to trial a "pop-up radio station" to extend services to listeners. It will be available online, via the BBC iPlayer Radio and on digital radio in south east Wales.

DAB+ radio comes as standard in the car.

Model features 17in alloys, a sat-nav, cruise control, a DAB radio and Bluetooth.

The car comes with a number of features including pre-collision detection, adaptive cruise control, DAB digital radio, LED headlights and a heated steering wheel.

The Prius i-Tech has a number of features which include blindspot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, leather accented seat and digital radio reception, sources say.
