EU Parliament backs digital radio in cars
15.11.2018 - United KingdomThe European Parliament in its Plenary session voted to adopt the new European Electronic Communications Code. This Directive will require all new car radios in the EU to be capable of receiving digital terrestrial radio. This requirement is in addition to any FM or AM functionality which manufacturers may wish to include.

EU Parliament backs digital radio in cars
14.11.2018 - United KingdomThe European Parliament has voted in its Plenary session to adopt the new European Electronic Communications Code, requiring
all new car radios in the EU to be capable of receiving digital terrestrial radio. The next steps for the Directive are: first, formal approval by the Council and, second, publication in the Official Journal of the European Union – at which point the Directive enters into force. These steps are expected to be completed in early 2019.

From the FM band to digital radio: one in five Flemings move to DAB+
12.11.2018 - BelgiumFor the Flemish Minister of Media, Sven Gatz (Open VLD), the big radio stations will have to disappear from the FM band from here. The goal is to digitise the entire radio network in the north of the country. According to the first measures of the Ipsos office, one in five Flemings have gone digital. "That's more than we thought," commented Mr Gatz.

Digital Radio Week sees launch of DAB+ in Flanders
12.11.2018 - BelgiumDAB+ continues its successful rollout across Europe as Belgium officially launches the technology across the Flanders region today to mark the start of Digital Radio Week. As of today, all Flemish national radio stations will be available on DAB +, while the technology is expected to launch across the rest of the country – and specifically Belgium’s French-speaking region – on Thursday.
