The Bavarian commercial regulator has awarded PN Medien GmbH a license for the broadcast of station Radio PN Eins on DAB in the local area of Augsburg.

Libéradio (formerly Positive Radio) launched on DAB in Paris. Recently the team anounced the launch of a national network which will be done by obtaining frequencies on the RNT.

A campaign will be implemented to raise awareness of digital radio throughout Denmark. Government will be funding this campaign with the support of 10.7 million kr. This precedes the FM switchover date of 2019.

The BBC is leading the development of a new generation of ‘hybrid’ radio, following extensive research that shows most smartphone users want broadcast radio in their devices. A new broadcasting center for digital radio opened today at the headquarters of broadcasting organisation, Südtirol (RAS). From 15th October, South Tyrol will be able to receive 33 digital radio channels.
