The European Broadcasting Union is proud to be part of the launch of the first smartphone with built-in digital radio capability. As a pioneer in digital radio and a member of the International DMB Advancement Group (IDAG), the EBU played a key role in ensuring that the broadcast community is firmly behind the LG Stylus 2 with DAB+.

Broadcasting on DAB in London on the Switch Digital multiplex, this will be the first time a country music station is available in London since Country 1035 closed in 2002.

This is BBC Radio 2's 4th themed pop-up service and will operate from 14th to 17th April 2016.

Radio 50s pop up station will celebrate the best of the the 50's, broadcasting on digital radio. The station will run from 14 - 17 April.

WorldDAB has worked with regulators, broadcasters, consumer electronics companies, semiconductor and component manufacturers and car companies for more than 10 years to speed the adoption of DAB. At long last, these mighty and far flung efforts have Europe on a path to adoption.

DAB+ is robust, reliable, and comparatively cheap, particularly if you consider the opportunities of launching over 20 channels on one multiplex.
