Thailand Hosts RadioAsia 2017 Conference
23.04.2017 - ThailandFrom 26 to 28 April 2017 over 300 radio media practitioners, policy makers, and academics from across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond will gather in Bangkok for the RadioAsia 2017 Conference. Organised jointly by the Government Public Relations Department (PRD), which represents the National Broadcasting Services of Thailand (NBT), and the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU), the event will explore the major aspects of the theme the "Creating Radio with Passion: Looking into the World of Radio”. WorldDAB will host a DAB+ workshop at the start of the Conference on 26 April.

New radio frequency plan finally approved

Internet consulting on auction of space above regional DAB+ capacity
21.04.2017 - NetherlandsThe Dutch Minister of Economic Affairs, Henk Kamp, has launched an internet consultation in response to the intention under article 3.10 of the Telecommunications Act to auction up regional DAB+ capability in layer 4. There are frequencies available in the three top regional allotments: eight licenses for Northwestern channel 9D, fourteen for Southwest channel 9D, and nine available for South channel 7A. As existing permits are not going to be extended, this is an opportunity for newcomers to get a license to broadcast on DAB+ digital radio.
