In imitation to its neighbour's activities in the Netherlands, the Belgian region of Flanders will host a "Week of Digital Radio" events from 12-16 November, where national and local broadcasters airing in the region will devote its programming to promote digital radio.

The key message from the Digital Radio Day that took place in Amsterdam on Tuesday this week is that it is the combination of DAB+ (broadcast) and internet (metadata) which provides an optimal user experience for listeners in smart speakers and connected cars. The Netherlands is at the forefront of DAB+ radio sales - in the first half of 2018, 38% of the new cars have DAB+ as standard (Jato Dynamics).
