EBU's Digital Radio Summit Planned for Feb. 11

DAB splits in Herts Beds, Bucks and Northants

Ofcom has approved the separation of the Northamptonshire multiplex from the Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire multiplex. The change means BBC Radio Northampton will be removed from the Herts, Beds and Bucks service whilst BBC Three Counties Radio is removed from the Northamptonshire multiplex.

Tivoli Audio one of the first to obtain Digital Tick Mark in The Netherlands

Tivoli Audio has announced that they will be using the Digital Radio Hallmark on products in The Netherlands. Tivoli Audio is one of the first manufacturers to obtain this approval and will work with the Digital Tick show that its products are ready for the future of radio and the rollout of DAB + in the Netherlands.

Bauer City Network 3 launches on local DAB

UK digital radio sales reach 20 million

This number includes all devices – traditional radios, but also audio home systems, tuners, amplifiers, receivers, car audio and all other devices with integrated tuner and is based on both DAB and Internet radio sales.

French regional radio station, Fréquence Plus, on the risks for the radio industry of an "all IP" strategy

DAB listening grows in Norway

Latest figures released by Digital Radio Norge covering the last quarter of 2014 show a strong increase of DAB listening at 36%. In a survey by TNS Gallup, the report also showed that Norway has experienced a growth of DAB+ listening in car to 17%, an increase from 10% the year before. Read the report in full.

DAB radio to get boost in Shropshire

A landmark agreement is set to see Shropshire benefit from a major expansion of radio transmitters over the next two years.The new or improved transmitters will be installed at The Wrekin, Market Drayton, Hazler Hill near Church Stretton, and Rhosfach Farm, Oswestry. A total of £7.75 million has been put aside for funding to Multiplex Operators for the plan by The Department for Culture, Media and Sport.
