New DAB+ transmitters in Welden
01.11.2017 - Bayerischer Rundfunk WorldDAB Member - GermanyBayerische Rundfunk is commissioning new DAB+ transmitters in the Augsburg district of Welden. The Bavarian Broadcasting Company is expanding the Bavaria-wide DAB+ transmitter network to 47 transmitter locations. At the same time, the regional network of Upper Bavaria-Swabia will receive another transmitter location.

Switzerland: Green light for FM switch off

31.10.2017 - - FranceIn October 2017, WorldDAB released the latest sales volumes of DAB receivers and network coverage from major markets in Europe and Asia-Pacific. Nearly 60 million domestic and automotive receivers were sold in Europe and Asia-Pacific, against 48 million a year earlier. In France, over a million DAB+ receivers were sold, compared to 292,000 last year.
