“Call for interest” for digital audio broadcasting in Flanders and Brussels

Norkring België N.V. is launching a “call for interest” for Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) in Flanders and Brussels.
In 2009, V.R.M. (“Vlaamse Regulator voor de Media”) has awarded Norkring België N.V. with the operating licenses for DAB(+) for a 15 year period.
Norkring België N.V. is considering the launch of a commercial DAB(+) multiplex covering Flanders and Brussels by late 2013. An information file is now at the disposal of parties considering the lease of spectrum in view of digital radio broadcasting.
As of today and until 15/03/13 (16.00 CET) this file can be obtained by sending a request to DAB+@norkring.be
The actual launch of this multiplex is subject to sufficient capacity being leased. Therefore, Norkring België N.V. reserves the right to cancel the next steps in the “call for interest” procedure in the event it should conclude market response is insufficient.
Currently, Norkring België N.V. is the network operator for DAB broadcasting of V.R.T.
