By end of November 2012, the total network coverage of digital radio reached 79.2% of the area which means nearly 88% of the population. The national as well as the regional networks have been extended enormously in 2012. Digital radio is currently available in all metropolitan areas, along the majority of transit routes (Autobahn) and also in a lot of rural areas.
