A new DAB+ digital transmitter began broadcasting at Kujawsko-Pomorskie. This now brings coverage of the Polish population now covered by DAB+ to 55%.

The federal government is promising simpler and more flexible delivery of digital radio to regional Australia. Measures to help the rollout, with priority being given to Canberra and Darwin, were part of a suite of measures to simplify broadcasting rules introduced to parliament by on Wednesday.

In Asia Pacific, a similar trend to that in Europe is emerging. Australia has successfully launched DAB+ in 2009 followed by Hong Kong in 2011. Several other markets including Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam are now exploring DAB options.

According to major Elkjøp, DAB radios are one of the big hits for Christmas this year.
