DAB receivers in 12 percent of French households

France's media regulator, the Conseil supérieur de l’audiovisuel, has released its summary of radio equipment in use for the entire year of 2016 in France. The results showed that 12 percent of French households had a DAB receiver in 2016.

"As clear as if I were there" DAB+ campaign

The campaign focuses on the listening experience of radio, showing typical listening situations and the joy of listening to the radio.

A new radio station has gone live in the UK - Upload Radio allows anyone to upload a program to the station, and for content creators to book a slot for transmission. The broadcast radio stations are carried on DAB in three separate areas in the UK.

FM shutdown continues in Norway

On 26th April, Norwegian pubic broadcaster NRK shut down its FM transmitters in four counties in the southern part of the country: Telemark, Buskerud, Hedmark and Oppland. NRK has built a DAB network that is says has 99.7% coverage of the population in Norway.

Upload Radio: now anyone can be on the radio

Digital radio listening in the UK hits record high

The latest official figures from Rajar, show an increase of nearly half a million radio listeners in the past year. Roughly 90% of the UK population – approximately 48.7 million adults – are tuning in regularly to listen to their favourite digital broadcasts. DAB is still far and away the most popular platform for digital listening.
