National DAB updates detailed.

The Lincolnshire DAB Digital Radio multiplex has launched today (1st October) on Lincolnshire Day, bringing local digital radio to over 410,000 people for the first time. 48% of Lincolnshire’s radio listeners already have a DAB Digital Radio, a number expected to climb now the full range of stations - local and national - are available. DAB digital radios are available from £15 and listeners can find sets for home, office, in-car or on the move.

R-line by ROBERTS is a new premium audio range including devices across all key home audio categories: wireless speakers, sound system with DAB and CD, soundbar and a hybrid radio offering FM, DAB and Internet radio. The devices can be used individually or as part of multi-room wireless streaming systems.

New high-tech transmitters have been switched on to give more than 400,000 people access to a host of new digital radio channels. Ed Vaizey, Minister for Culture and the Digital Economy, said: "I welcome the big switch-on in Lincolnshire and wish BBC Radio Lincolnshire and the excellent local commercial radio stations great success on DAB."

Toumaz Ltd said that consumer electronics company ROBERTS has launched a range of connected audio devices powered by Toumaz's Frontier Silicon UNDOK audio platform. Toumaz, which supplies wireless semiconductor technologies for digital radio, said that R-line by ROBERTS is a new premium audio range including devices across all key home audio categories such as wireless speakers, sound systems and a hybrid radio offering FM, DAB and internet radio.

NPO Soul & Jazz themed station connected to the main station and NPO Radio 2 will broadcast exclusively in the air via DAB +.

BBC Radio is launching a jazz ‘pop-up’ temporary digital radio station for the first time, called BBC Music Jazz. The temporary service is a collaboration between BBC Radio, Jazz FM and the EFG London Jazz Festival. It is the first time BBC Radio stations will have worked in collaboration with Jazz FM.
