DAB radio is the most popular device for listening to digital radio
02.08.2012 - United KingdomDAB radio is still the most popular device when it comes to listening to digital radio, accounting for 63.8% of all digital hours. Listening via DTV (digital television) is down 5.9%, however listening online has recorded an increase of 37% YoY.

Digital radio in cars unites industry
26.07.2012 - AustraliaBreakfast radio presenters from over 50 commercial and public radio stations will broadcast live and simultaneously in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide on Friday, 24 August to celebrate three years of digital radio on air, more than one million listeners and the fact that digital radio is now available as standard in cars.

Digital radio reaches around 200.000 daily listeners in Bavaria
26.07.2012 - GermanyAccording to the findings, DAB services have already established themselves well in the market shortly after the start of DAB+, reaching a sizeable audience. Around 800.000 persons in Bavaria listen to DAB+ channels during a two-week period. Some 200.000 listeners switch on at least one digital radio channel per day on an average weekday.
The research for the first time analysed all available DAB channels alongside the VHF radio services on air.

BLM Media Council approves the distribution of ANTENNE BAYERN
26.07.2012 - GermanyThe BLM Media Council on 19 July 2012 approved the distribution of ANTENNE BAYERN, the most successful state-wide radio service (1.3 million listeners per hour) as well as a total 13 different local radio channels via DAB+. They are scheduled to start transmission in DAB+ in September 2012.
