WorldDAB has released its latest collection of sales and coverage figures for key markets in Europe and Asia Pacific to the end of Q2 2016. Available to download as an infographic, the statistics include road and overall population coverage, receiver sales, household penetration and, for the first time, the number of national stations on DAB/DAB+ compared to FM.

Global’s Capital has appeared on the Digital One multiplex as Capital UK, taking the London based hit music station truly national for the first time. Capital joins other Global brands Capital XTRA, Smooth Extra, Heart extra, LBC, Classic and Radio X on D1.

On show at IBC was the JVD dipole side-mounted antenna, which Jampro describe as ideal for DAB Band III, where low wind loadings are required. Designed for vertical polarisation, the antenna’s rugged galvanised and stainless steel construction is intended to provide many years of dependable performance, even in the harshest environments.

New Factum Radioscape products on display at IBC 2016 include DAB products for Virtualised Server Broadcast Systems, OBSERVA Multiplex Supervisor, OBSERVA Field Monitor and DETS Voice Break-in Systems for Tunnels.

When it comes to equipment, the SLC 180 already comes well-kitted with 18-inch wheels, Garmin Map Pilot navigation, solar-reflecting leather upholstery with heated seats, a reverse camera, DAB+ digital radio, and Apple CarPlay as standard.

There are leather seats that can be electrically-adjusted and heated, a six-speaker sound system, seven-inch touchscreen with sat nav, DAB digital radio, a reversing camera, Bluetooth connectivity, dual zone air conditioning and plenty more besides.

Inovonics is introducing two new monitor projects aimed at DAB/DAB+ stations. The new 660 DAB/DAB+ Confidence Monitor will provide off-air reception of all standard DAB & DAB+ broadcasts in a compact INOmini package.
