DAB radio sales are up in Norway and Germany

Meanwhile, the number of cars sold in Germany with digital radios installed has almost doubled since 2016, with The German Automobile Trust (DAT) announcing in its 2018 annual report that the take rate of new cars sold in Germany with DAB+ radio in 2017 was 39.1%.

Germany to fund €163 million for DAB+ development until 2020
20.02.2018 - GermanyGerman broadcasters ARD and Deutschlandradio will receive funding of €163 million until 2020 to develop DAB+ services in Germany, confirmed by the Commission for the Determination of the Financial Requirements of the Public Service Broadcasters (KEF). The commission confirmed the funding following the release of its 21st annual report into broadcasting in Germany.
