Aqipa relaunches Pure in Australia after two-year absence

DAB+ test broadcasts take place in Lille
19.05.2018 - FranceIn the region around the French city of Lille, the first test broadcasts with DAB + have been broadcast since this week. The broadcasts will officially start on 19 June. This is part of the French government's digitisation plan to ensure all major urban regions and motorways have DAB+ coverage by 2020.

Majority of radio listening now digital in Britain
18.05.2018 - FranceThe British radio industry has hailed a major event: digital listening has, for the first time, according to RAJAR, a new record share of 50.9%, against 47.2%, a year ago. Continued growth from the 47.2% recorded in the first quarter of 2017 and the 24% of the first quarter of 2010, when the government's Digital Radio Action Plan, which spearheaded a program to advance digital radio, was launched.

Biggest ever audience for commercial radio as ad revenues surge
17.05.2018 - United KingdomCommercial has reported its highest ever audience of 35.97 million listeners, according to new figures for Q1 2018 published by RAJAR. This total audience represents a 4.2% increase on the same period last year and commercial radio’s biggest ever lead over BBC radio, with 960,000 more listeners overall. The record listening figures are evidence of continued strong performance by the commercial radio sector, which has also kicked off 2018 with its highest ever revenues Q1 at £179.3m – an increase of 12.5% year-on-year.
