Digital Radio Reaches Tipping Point
01.08.2013 - United KingdomIt was announced today that digital radio listening has reached a tipping point and now accounts for 36.8% of radio listening hours, up 16% year on year (RAJAR Q2 2013). In total, 28 million people now listen to radio via a digital platform each week, up from 24 million in Q2 2012. 52.5% of UK adults, or 57.8% of radio listeners, listen on a digital platform every week.

Real & Smooth improve under Hold Separate

Vietnam Hosts DAB+ Demonstrations
01.08.2013 - VietnamLate July saw a three-day DAB+ Technology Workshop and Transmission Demonstration conducted in Hanoi, Vietnam (26, 27, 29 July). The event was jointly organised by WorldDMB and Voice of Vietnam and was supported by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU). The workshop, organised in the lead up to the Radio Asia conference, 29 – 31 July was attended by more than 90 delegates from Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and Macau and reflects growing interest in the DAB+ standard in the Asia Pacific.
