Nkom invites bids for Sogn DAB radio permits

Norwegian communications regulator Nkom has announced the start of the auction for DAB frequencies in the Sogn region on 16 October. Registration documents must be submitted by 6 November with the bidding deadline on 13 November. Results will be announced on 18 November.

Paneda signs new agreement with Telenor Norge AS

Paneda has signed a contract with Telenor Norge AS, BMS (Broadcast and Media Services) for the national commercial DAB multiplexer system in Norway, which is now in full operation. This national multiplex is one of the world’s largest DAB networks with a total number of more than 220 transmitters which operates in SFN (Single Frequency Network) nationwide.

Germany to launch national DAB+ Christmas campaign

From 23 November to 6 December, ARD, Deutschlandradio, private broadcasters, manufacturers and other members of the Digitalradio Deutschland organisation will be promoting the DAB+ digital radio standard. The campaign will include TV and radio spots, print advertising, social media activities and employee training in around 1700 stores.
